In this piece, I am merging iconic female images from the East and Wild West. I think the combination of characteristics from different cultures is a good metaphor for how the Body of Christ is composed. (1 Corinthians 12:12-13) The fish in her ‘obi’ on her kimono is a symbol of Christ and the wave design represents water and the Holy Spirit. The bird symbolizes praise and God’s caring for us.
