In this piece, the woman represents us all. The pomegranate symbolizes compassion. The fish represent Christ and there are three for the Trinity. The lily and the bird are from the parable in Luke12:22-32 where Christ tells us to not worry because we are more valuable than the lilies of the field and the birds of the air.
